How does Gift-a-Garden work?
gardenUP Will provide gift givers with a digital or physical card to provide to the recipient. Gift givers can note a dollar amount or a whole garden to display on the card. Recipients can choose the garden they like using the gardenUP design toll and work with a gardenUP partner garden center to get their plant material.
How and when does a gift giver pay?
Payment will be arranged directly with the gardenUP partner garden center. A gardenUP team member will introduce the gift giver to the garden center to arrange payment.
How much does a garden cost?
Simple designs start at around $800 and more complex designs can be over $5000. If a gift giver has a specific budget in mind we recommend noting it on the Gift-a-Garden Card. Your recipient or other gift givers can also contribute to help create a bigger garden.
Where can Give-a-Garden be used?
A garden can be gifted within 50 miles of any gardenUP partner garden center. Check our Partner Map to find a partner garden center.
How will a recipient get their garden?
Shortly after the holidays a gardenUP team member will reach out to the recipient to help introduce the gardenUP design tool and help to coordinate the gift with a local partner garden center. Delivery will likely take place in the spring when planting conditions allow.
Can the garden be installed?
gardenUP would be happy to help work with local partner garden centers to coordinate installation. Installation is usually available at an additional cost.
